Two Bays Villa at Cabier in Grenada W I

** Romantic ** Beautiful ** Natural Setting ** Tranquillity ** Total Relaxation **

Hamilton Holiday Houses: Two Bays Villa and Studios, Grenada, The Caribbean

Even though you are supposed to be really chilling out and winding down Cabier style – the locals call it “limin” - you may be tempted to do a little inter–island visiting using the hydrofoil up to the neighbouring Grenadine islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Perhaps have a day in St George’s just wandering around the beautiful harbour with its shops, restaurants and market.

Carnival is the first week of August. It is colourful, noisy with bands and exuberant with hundreds of locals parading and dancing in bizarre costumes to loud Soca music around the harbour front with a day and night parade “Midnight Mass” and of course lots of local food and drink.

From January to March there are regattas in Grenada and neighbouring Carriacou. Day sailing trips are available and the diving out of St George’s is excellent as is the big game fishing. For anyone who fancies gently cruising through some of the 14 tiny islands that make up the Grenadines you can book Cabier’s Stay and Sail package that combines your stay at Two Bays with either 4 or 7 days on a yacht.

There is easy coastal walking along the headlands to neighbouring beaches – if you to want to take a lodge dog with you, one of them is usually game for “walkies”. Sounds good so far? – It gets better!

For those who are interested in more serious walking the Grenada rainforest is not far away with a wide range of walking trails, colourful flora and fauna, birds, as well as monkeys, waterfalls with pools you can swim in, old rum distilleries and a chocolate plantation to visit.

The interior of the island is spectacular with vibrant colours. The locals are friendly and a lot of the island has yet to be touched by tourism. You may even find a village cricket match to watch. Driving is on the left and easy day trips will take you to what you want to see on any part of the island.
